Maintenance Technician - VA

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

· Daily troubleshooting and repairs on all Mar-Bal Inc. equipment.

· Maintain maintenance area, put away items that are coming in and maintain general area.

· Maintain all preventative maintenance schedules.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Maintain proper housekeeping utilizing 6s principles.

· Fills out all required paperwork, accurately and legibly.

· Ability to utilize machine print for troubleshooting.

· Make safety a number one priority while working in a safety conscious manner.

· Report & correct safety issues as directed.

· Continuously advance knowledge and skills with electricity, hydraulics & pneumatics using troubleshooting techniques, understanding energy control procedures.

· Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, drills, welders, saws, electrical diagnostic instruments, etc. (most hand tools will be supplied by the individual). Steel, brass, aluminum, oils, grease, electrical components, hydraulic components, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Successfully demonstrate skills for a general maintenance technician position.

· Ability to troubleshoot issues with PLC’s.

· Background in electrical troubleshooting and repair.

· Background in hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.

· Adhere to attendance policy.
