Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Optimization of the mill’s technical performance

• Optimization of the mill’s machinery performance

• Optimization of the Packing department’s machinery performance (Feeds & Foods)

• Optimization of departmental workforce

• Compliance with HACCP and FSSC22000 standards

• Planning and performing of maintenance work including coordinating preventative maintenance projects and plans

• Perform inventory management

• Ensuring Asset Inspection and care

• Manage all mechanical and electrical breakdowns

• Energy and environmental impact management

• Budget preparation and adherence (track & control)

• Manage the job card system to get positive results on maintenance requirements Skills:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• People management and disciplinary handling

• Able to delegate

• Deadline and technical value driver driven

• Attention to detail

• Organized

• Good time management

• Problem solving skills

• Negotiation skills

• Positive attitude and assertive

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12

• Red Seal Millwright trade test certificate

• Instrumentation/ SCADA Systems/ PLC/ HMI/ High voltage switching experience

• Knowledge of plan automation operations

• Minimum 5 years’ experience gained in FMCG/ Manufacturing

• 3 years supervisory experience

• FSSCC training and experience will be advantageous

• OHS Safety Rep training and experience will be advantageous

• First Aid and Fire Fighting training and experience will be advantageous

• Forklift license will be advantageous

• Dryer/ Heater bank system training and experience

The successful candidate will report to the Assistant General Manager.
