So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere.

Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Māori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.

He angitūtanga: About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Mana Taki Pāraha | Product Owner to lead the direction and ongoing evolution of Tūī CRM—our core platform for owner, whenua, and operational information.

Initially embedded within the Tūī CRM project, you will provide decisive product leadership through implementation, adoption, and transition into business as usual. You will set the product vision and roadmap, manage priorities and the backlog, and establish the governance and operating practices needed for long-term success.

This is an opportunity to influence a significant digital transformation and ensure Tūī CRM delivers meaningful, sustainable value for our kaimahi and the owners, whānau, trustees, and whenua we serve.

He kōrero mōu | About you

You are a confident and collaborative product leader who can translate complex organisational needs into clear priorities and practical outcomes. You are comfortable working across business and technology, making informed trade-offs, and building trusted relationships with senior leaders, operational teams, technical specialists, vendors, and delivery partners.

You will bring:

• Significant Product Owner or Product Manager experience in complex digital or technology environments.

• Experience contributing to or leading a major CRM implementation, migration, or transformation.

• Strong capability in product strategy, roadmaps, backlog management, prioritisation, and benefits realisation.

• A sound understanding of agile and hybrid delivery, product operating models, scalability, and long-term product evolution.

• The ability to balance user needs, organisational value, technical feasibility, risk, and sustainability.

• Experience supporting or mentoring others in effective product ownership practices.

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Reo Māori

• Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential).

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori

• Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential)

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.
