About The Role
The Management Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial performance and growth of the Attivo Group. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple group entities, producing high-quality management accounts, and providing meaningful financial insight to support decision-making.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines core management accounting responsibilities with involvement in acquisitions, financial due diligence, cash flow management, VAT reporting, budgeting, and audit support. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining robust financial controls while supporting Attivo’s continued growth and development.

About You
You are a qualified accountant with proven experience in a management accounting role and a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls. You are highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable presenting financial information to senior leaders and auditors, you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to challenge, investigate, and resolve issues when they arise. You enjoy working collaboratively and are committed to continuous professional development while helping drive improvements across the finance function.


Key Responsibilities Include

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for designated group entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Complete and submit VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations where required.
  • Maintain and strengthen financial control processes across the business.
  • Support acquisition activities through financial due diligence analysis and integration planning.
  • Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts, proactively identifying and reporting potential risks.
  • Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit packs and liaison with auditors.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process through financial analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior leadership as required.
  • Assist with finance projects, process improvements, and other ad-hoc duties as required.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
  • Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders and auditors.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience within Financial Services.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or financial due diligence activities.
  • Knowledge of VAT reporting and partial exemption calculations.
  • Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and budgets.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 or similar accounting systems.
