Management Analyst (Program Manager)

This position is located in the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. Provides the fullest possible accounting for missing personnel from the Nation's past conflicts to their families and nation. DPAA personnel research, investigate, recover, and identify remains of DOW personnel unaccounted for from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Persian War, and Iraq conflicts. The Director, DPAA ( SES-III), reports to the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a functional team lead across the agency's three laboratories to coordinate, train, mentor, and track the laboratory casework. Recommends, designs, and implements testing and casework strategies detailing complex molecular biology and DNA modalities. Identifies, plans, and oversees special projects, initiatives, and studies to improve laboratory casework workflows and resource utilization. Directs external communication and correspondence regarding DNA Family Reference Sample (FRS) collections, and coordinates multi-agency and international collaborations. Ensures laboratory operations comply with federal laws, military mandates, and international accreditation standards.
