Summary
Manages whistleblower submissions, analyzes program efficiency, and supports reporting for a government regulatory agency.
This position is in the Whistleblower Office (WBO), within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The mission of the WBO is to perform intake, tracking, and recordkeeping of whistleblower submissions; oversee the review process of each whistleblower's eligibility; administer the determination process for whistleblower award claims; communicate with whistleblowers and their representatives; and report to the Commission and Congress on the whistleblower program.
Program Management: serves as Program Specialist responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within WBO, including: Program Management: serves as Program Specialist responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within WBO, including: evaluation and improvement of day-to-day operations of the WBO, data and technology, strategic communications, and policies and procedures. Intake: organizes and handles receipt of all submissions to the WBO, in any format, from external sources, including: tips and complaints, whistleblower award applications, inquiries to the WBO, and FOIA and Privacy Act requests. Information Analysis and Management: gathers, develops, updates, and maintains data, records, documents, and all other information related to whistleblower program, including: information management systems, notices of covered actions, electronic case management systems, document databases, records management, enforcement collections, and whistleblower confidentiality Reporting and Communications: compiles, analyzes, and organizes WBO information for reports and other communications for WBO staff, other Commission staff, and external audiences, including: case status updates, annual reports to Congress, electronic dashboards for whistleblower matters, and other external communications. Administrative Support: supports WBO attorneys in all aspects of whistleblower program work, including: proofreading and cite checking, redacting and preparing records, budgeting and financial administration, maintaining the WBO's website, logistical support, and updating whistleblower forms.
