Management and Program Analyst
Summary
Analyzes and improves CBP’s management processes and mission programs, advises executives, and develops policies to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Planning, Innovation and Strategy Directorate, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
In this role, you will serve as an expert analyst and advisor, applying advanced analytical skills to assess and improve complex management processes, systems, and mission support programs. Your work will play a critical role in advancing CBP's mission by enhancing operational effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity through thorough program analysis and the development of impactful policies. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Typical duties include: Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a major segment of an agency-wide mission or administrative program Developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long and short range plans, policies and programs in the direction of goals, objectives and priorities established by statutes, executive orders, the Department, the Commissioner and/or Assistant Commissioners Planning, developing and delivering briefings, presentations and conferences for executive management Ensuring that accurate, appropriately concise and timely information is available to executive management and policy officials Providing oversight and coordinating the identification, analysis and issuance of policies with managers and top level officials of the CBP GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area.
