Provide analysis and assessment of enterprise-wide Defense Health Agency initiatives for the Defense Health Agency Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office.
Manage complex Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests requiring interpretation of statutory requirements, case law, and agency regulations to ensure accurate, timely, and legally sufficient responses.
Conduct record searches and perform detailed line-by-line review of sensitive records.
Apply Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemptions with precision.
Prepare defensible rationales that balance transparency with protection of sensitive information.
Draft clear, concise, and well-structured correspondence and closure memoranda that articulate the basis for release or withholding decisions, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and full documentation of the FOIA life cycle.
