Management and Program Analyst
Summary
Coordinate outreach and communications for veterans' employment programs, drafting content and managing projects to engage stakeholders and media.
This position is located in the Veteran Employment and Training Service (VETS), Office of Strategic Outreach (OSO). OSO, in consultation with the Office of Public Affairs (OPA), serves as the information, outreach, and public affairs contact with employers, veteran's service and military organizations, and the print and broadcast media for all matters relating to the programs and activities carried out by VETS. This is a bargaining unit position.
For the GS-13 Management and Program Analyst the duties include : - Plan, organize, and implement a wide range of public information activities related to VETS' key stakeholders, including government (state and local), non-government organizations, and transitioning service-members and veterans seeking employment. - Manage projects and ensure adherence to schedules for multiple communication and outreach initiatives delivered by and through VETS staff. - Coordinate outreach activities with VETS staff to ensure consistent alignment of effort and messaging across the organization. - Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of integrated communication strategies at the National Office level. - Plan, develop, and write news releases, articles, op-eds, blogs and other messages, including social media for the Assistant Secretary of Labor for VETS and other VETS leadership.
