Position Summary
Arrow International is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our global corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role is responsible for leading key aspects of the consolidated monthly close process while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial results.
The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of accounting professionals and play a critical role in strengthening accounting processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, improving system utilization, and supporting audit readiness. This role will also help evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including automation and AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency, enhance data quality, and strengthen the accounting close and reporting process.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting experience, proven people leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or public accounting is highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals responsible for general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, and required close timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and help implement opportunities to use automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
- Partner with the Assistant Controller to plan and execute initiatives that improve accounting processes, controls, and systems.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts to standardize workpapers, enhance documentation, reduce inefficiencies, and improve data quality.
- Drive effective utilization of internal accounting tools, including OneStream or similar reconciliation, consolidation, and task management systems.
- Participate in annual physical inventory counts and/or cycle count processes, including coordination and issue resolution.
- Stay current on new accounting standards and support implementation as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on department-wide initiatives, accounting projects, and process improvement efforts.
- Assist with planning, execution, and reporting of special projects as assigned.
