Job Summary
Focus on maximizing oil and gas production from existing wells by troubleshooting production issues, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize well performance and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Maximize oil and gas production by diagnosing and resolving production problems in existing wells
- Operate and maintain pumps, artificial-lift systems, flowlines, and well equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Monitor production data continuously and recommend actionable improvements to enhance output and efficiency
- Review engineering drawings and technical specifications to support well and equipment design decisions
- Analyze production and reservoir data to inform operational strategies and optimize resource extraction
- Design wells and equipment tailored to production goals and site conditions
- Monitor drilling and production operations to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to predict and improve well performance
- Investigate equipment and production issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting findings, recommendations, and operational status
- Collaborate effectively with geologists, technicians, operators, and contractors to coordinate production activities
- Participate actively in safety meetings and conduct risk assessments to uphold workplace safety
- Inspect equipment and field facilities regularly to ensure operational integrity and compliance
- Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout all production activities
- Utilize specialized software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, Excel, Petrel, Eclipse, OLGA, and other drilling/production software to analyze data and support engineering tasks
