We are recruiting an experienced AI & Data Architect to join the Technology and Data practice of a leading change and transformation consultancy.

You will design and deliver modern data solutions that solve complex business challenges, combining strong technical architecture expertise with client-facing advisory skills.

Key responsibilities
  • Design and own end-to-end data architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
  • Architect solutions covering data ingestion, processing, storage, analytics and visualisation.
  • Design scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Integrate modern data platforms with legacy systems.
  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Establish standards covering security, scalability, performance and cost optimisation.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture governance and design assurance.
  • Implement data-quality frameworks and governance controls.
  • Apply AI and machine learning to areas such as intelligent automation, anomaly detection and predictive data-quality monitoring.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and prototype emerging data and AI technologies.
Essential experience
  • At least five years' experience in data engineering, data architecture or a related discipline.
  • Experience designing ETL processes, data pipelines and storage solutions.
  • At least two years' experience leading technical projects or workstreams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and their associated data services.
  • Understanding of data modelling, governance, quality, security and compliance.
  • Experience integrating AI or machine-learning capabilities into data solutions.
  • Strong consulting, advisory and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive and non-technical audiences.
Desirable experience
  • Experience advising clients on platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Relevant AWS, Azure or Google Cloud certification.
  • Knowledge of dimensional, relational or Data Vault modelling.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
  • Experience deploying enterprise-scale analytics solutions.
