Manager, Applications and Quality
Description
The SACE Board of South Australia is seeking an experienced Manager, Applications & Quality to lead enterprise application delivery, strengthen quality assurance practices and drive technology improvements across the organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, ICT, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across application development, testing, release management and vendor-delivered services.
This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing technical team, influence ICT strategy and deliver reliable, secure and contemporary digital solutions that support South Australia's education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and ICT strategy.
Oversee application development, lifecycle management, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
Drive quality assurance, test automation, DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary application development and quality assurance teams.
Champion application modernisation, digital transformation and continuous improvement.
Strengthen ICT governance, cyber security, risk management and compliance.
Manage technology vendors, service delivery performance and senior stakeholder relationships.
Provide strategic advice on application architecture, technology investment and future capability.
You will bring:
Proven leadership experience across enterprise applications, software development or quality assurance.
Strong expertise in application lifecycle management, testing frameworks, release management and governance.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, test automation and contemporary software engineering practices.
Knowledge of cloud technologies, SaaS platforms and systems integration.
Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and application modernisation initiatives.
Strong people leadership, stakeholder engagement and vendor management capabilities.
