Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's marine operations. The successful candidate must possess relevant practical experience in the marine industry, with the ability to manage operational matters, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with applicable maritime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily marine operations to achieve operational efficiency and maintain safety standards
• Manage vessel operations by monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to operational requirements
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and company procedures through regular audits and reviews
• Coordinate communication and collaboration with vessel masters, crew, shipowners, agents, port authorities, and other stakeholders to support smooth operations
• Monitor vessel maintenance, inspections, repairs, and operational schedules to minimize downtime and ensure readiness
• Identify and resolve marine-related operational issues promptly to maintain continuous operations
• Monitor and control operational costs to optimize resource utilization and budget adherence
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate marine operational reports and documentation for management and regulatory purposes
• Coordinate incident reporting, conduct investigations, and implement follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
• Supervise and lead marine personnel to ensure effective execution of marine operations and team performance

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven working experience in the marine, maritime, or shipping industry
• Relevant experience in marine operations, vessel management, or a similar managerial role
• Good knowledge of marine operations, vessel procedures, and applicable maritime regulations
• Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively and prepare operational reports
• Strong coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through managing marine operations and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to independently manage operational matters and respond effectively to marine-related issues
