Manager / Assistant Manager (Architectural)
Job Responsibilities:
- Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities on all architectural matters.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements (MOS), etc.
- Take the lead in VDC for architecture-related matters.
- Review contract documents and scope of works.
- Monitor and coordinate overall architectural site works to ensure compliance with the project schedule and budget.
- Establish the QC Plan in coordination with the Quality and Service Department.
- Track and monitor actual material usage against computed quantities on a monthly basis.
- Review and coordinate drawings across various disciplines, including Civil & Structural and Building Services.
- Take the lead in tile and wall setting-out plans.
- Monitor variation orders (VO) and back charges.
- Cross-check BIM models against contract drawings.
- Take the lead in subcontractor meetings and technical meetings for architecture-related matters.
- Prepare checklists for RI (Architectural) and TOP.
- Attend to architectural material submissions, sample boards, trade demonstrations and shop drawing submissions, and review comments from consultants.
- Assist in reviewing architectural vendor selections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Take the lead in the preparation of as-built drawings and O&M documentation.
- Coordinate the handover to owners, Town Council, authorities, MA, etc.
- Assess subcontractors’ claims and progress claims.
- Ensure all work activities are carried out in a safe working environment.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Management.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience, preferably in private residential projects.
- Able to lead and coordinate subcontractors to ensure smooth progress of works, high quality standards and minimal defects.
- Independent, diligent and highly motivated, with good team spirit.
- Good knowledge of architectural specifications and BCA quality requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of BIM.
