You will work with surveillance and operational data to monitor vector risks, identify emerging trends and translate findings into actionable insights for operational planning and decision-making.

The role combines established surveillance functions with opportunities to strengthen how we work through geospatial analytics, automation, data visualisation and emerging analytical tools.

[What you will be working on]

What you will be working on:

  • Monitor and assess vector trends using surveillance, inspection, public feedback, enforcement, and other operational data
  • Develop surveillance and analytical products such as reports, dashboards, and maps to support situational awareness and operations.
  • Apply geospatial and quantitative analysis to identify spatial patterns, risks and potential drivers, and support prioritisation and targeting of interventions
  • Strengthen surveillance methods and capabilities by developing indicators, clustering and risk-scoring approaches, and using automation, AI, and other digital tools to improve early detection and productivity
  • Translate insights into action by working with operational and technical stakeholders to address business needs and turn analytical findings into practical recommendations

  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Curious and adaptable, with an interest in using automation, AI and emerging technologies to improve ways of working
  • A background in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data analytics, geography/GIS, environmental science or a related discipline would be advantageous
