Manager/Asst Manager, Fundraising & Donor Relations
Established in 2012, The Food Bank Singapore is the nation’s only accredited member of The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), an organisation which supports food banks in more than 50 countries. As an IPC-registered charity (non-government funded),we collect surplus food from manufacturers, distributors, retailers, restaurants, and the public, and channel them to vulnerable communities through our network of beneficiary partners. We also procure food as needed to meet the food support requirements of our beneficiary partners.
Beyond providing vital food support to improve food security, we champion food sustainability through advocacy, reducing food waste, and driving education programmes that inspire action to reduce food waste and build a more sustainable future. In 2025, we distributed about 700,000kg of food.
To bring our mission to life, we’re looking for someone to champion Fundraising and Donor Engagement — a key team member who will help us grow our impact through sustainable fundraising and donor stewardship.
The Role
A relationship-driven and proactive Fundraising & Donor Relations Manager/Asst Manager to spearhead our fundraising efforts and strengthen engagement with donors, grant-makers, and funding partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing financial support, stewarding donor relationships, and demonstrating the impact of contributions through meaningful reporting and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising& Donor Development
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities from grant-makers, foundations, corporations, family offices, and individual donors.
- Research potential funding sources and develop a healthy pipeline of prospects.
- Nurture a pipeline of donor prospects and maintain strong relations to ensure that our charity remains top of mind.
- Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and donor appeals.
- Conduct outreach and arrange meetings with prospective donors and funding partners.
- Assist in converting enquiries into meaningful donor relationships and funding opportunities.
Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing donors and funding partners.
- Develop engagement plans to nurture and retain donors.
- Develop and implement an annual Work Plan in conjunction with the Programmes and Communications teams to coordinate programme showcases, fundraising, and appreciation initiatives.
- Serve as a key point of contact for assigned donors and supporters.
- Be a strong Brand Ambassador to donors and prospects.
- Ensure timely acknowledgement and recognition of donations.
Grant Writing & Proposal Development
- Research and identify grant opportunities relevant to The Food Bank Singapore's programmes and strategic priorities.
- Develop grant applications, funding proposals, sponsorship requests, and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with internal teams to gather programme information, budgets, outcomes, and impact stories.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
Impact Reporting
- Prepare donor reports, grant reports, and fundraising impact updates.
- Work closely with programmes, comms and product sourcing teams to collect and analyse programme outcomes, beneficiary stories, and impact data.
- Translate programme achievements into compelling narratives for donors and stakeholders.
- Ensure all reporting obligations are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Fundraising Platforms & Administration
- Manage and maintain The Food Bank Singapore's fundraising and giving platforms.
- Monitor fundraising performance across digital channels and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising databases.
- Prepare fundraising updates, dashboards, and reports for management review.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Social Sciences, Non-Profit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, account management, sales, stakeholder engagement, or grant writing.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the charity or social service sector.

- Good writing and communication skills, particularly for proposals, reports, and donor communications.
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, donors, and corporate representatives.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
