Responsible for managing the sales function,
overseeing existing packaging accounts, and identifying opportunities to
develop new business within the portfolio. Develop and implement sales
strategies and policies to deliver competitive solutions that meet customer
needs and achieve company objectives.
FUNCTIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute
to business planning by assisting the Head of Department in developing sales
strategies and plans that are consistent with the organizations’ objectives to
achieve the short and long term sales goals for packaging, with the target on
achieving maximum profitable sales growth
- Liaise
with other teams across the organization (particularly engineering, quality,
supply chain and finance) to ensure that sales strategies and activities are
integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall
corporate objectives. Establish and
maintain positive relationships.
- Explore
pricing and discount strategies to maximize your volume and financial targets
as well as deliver excellent service to your customers.
- Prepare
sales forecast; establish targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, market
share, or business development and monitor the performance of the organization
against these targets; adjust sales strategies and plans to meet changing
markets and competitive conditions.
- Oversee
the overall sales budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of sales
activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending.
- Manage
and build strong business relationships with the key clients, to understand
their requirements, identify new business opportunities, and address any
issues/concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify
new business opportunities, assess market trends, and recommend product
development or enhancement to meet customer demands.
- Keep
abreast of customer and prospect business needs and ensure a prompt turnaround
of enquiries is followed up by the sales team.
- Deliver
presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Precision products, applications
and technologies for the purpose of product sales.
- Oversee
all sales orders and negotiate terms and conditions of sales; attend
pre-contract site meetings, often alongside colleagues with major clients to
finalize requirements that will maximize the organizations’ business interests.
- In
conjunction with the peers and sales team proactively identify opportunities
for sales process improvement by inspecting sales process quality and
prioritize opportunities for improvement; understands process bottlenecks and
inconsistencies and facilitates continuous process improvement.
- Monitors
the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence
essential to the sales department; recommends revision to existing reports, or
assists in the development of new reporting tool as needed.
- Monitor
the status of sales management activities to identify problem areas and adapt
procedures to improve the overall performance of the team.
- Liaise
with functional and operational area managers (for example in business
development, marketing, finance, supply and logistics) to ensure that sales
administration activities are integrated with other parts of the business and
appropriate for current and future sales management activities.
- Stay
updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and market dynamics to
identify opportunities for business growth.
- Maintain
the highest levels of professionalism and integrity while representing the
company in customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Ensure
compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as
specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and
local regulatory authorities.
- Ensure
that all records and documents are up to date, true & correct and have full
traceability at all times and that all processes, procedures & activities
meet and match those laid down under company ISO and management procedures.
Requirements
Education/ Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management is an advantage.
Experience
• 10 –12 years of progressive experience in sales or business development, preferably within packaging, plastics, or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in key account management and managing large customer portfolios.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business within existing accounts and achieving profitable sales growth.
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
• Good understanding and knowledge of the manufacturing industry, plastic industry would be an advantage.
• Well-networked within the UAE, GCC, and Middle East business community, with in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, customer expectations, pricing structures, and the competitive landscape.
• Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategies, cost control, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical and commercial presentations.
• Proficiency in sales forecasting, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools.
