Manager, Brand Communications (Singapore)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Brand Communications Manager is the voice of the brand. He/She would ensure the positive development of the adidas brand image through brand concepts in key categories, to support sustainable and profitable market share growth in Singapore by providing efficient and effective communication of key messages across all appropriate communication channels.

Experienced in building 360 integrated marketing comms plans, the Brand Comms Manager will take ownership of marketing plans and best-in-class executions to support business growth. This person will balance brand and category message against channel (Wholesale, Direct-To-Consumer, Franchise and eComm) specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Activation & Marketing

  • Implement brand communication strategies and integrated marketing plans to support brand and campaign objectives
  • Be the brand guardian to ensure all work produced is faithful to adidas’ brand guidelines
  • Drive & execute the 360˚ communication & influencer/sports marketing plans & campaigns
  • Ensure global/SEAPAC marketing guidelines are upheld during execution of concepts to local market
  • Own the Marketing Working Budget (MWB) and ensure translation into cost efficient implementation across all appropriate communication channels and tools
  • Drive and manage creative / brand / advertising / research companies in delivering quality and professional services Build efficient networks with opinion leaders (consumer/trade/media)
  • Agency management to ensure above deliverables are of quality standard

Reporting

  • Monitor and analyse competitor activities
  • Analyze reports to form insights to optimize and streamline strategies, activities, processes etc
  • Keep a pulse on developing industry/market/media & digital trends to ensure that the brand stays ahead of trends

Athlete, KOL and Strategic Partnerships

  • Manage athlete, key opinion leader and strategic corporate partnerships.
  • Lead contract negotiations with athletes, KOLs and brand partners.
  • Build and manage a clear partner selection and evaluation framework to identify the right partners based on brand/ category relevance, audience reach and business priorities
  • Own the day-to-day servicing of partners, ensuring both partner needs and brand requirements are effectively managed
  • Establish partnership calendars and tracking mechanisms to ensure contractual deliverables, appearances, content and activation commitments are fulfilled on time
  • Manage and monitor existing asset agreements, including product allocation, servicing requirements and contractual entitlements
  • Coordinate timely and sufficient product and equipment support for Sports Marketing partners, working closely with relevant internal teams
  • Maintain close contact with sports agencies or clubs; as well athletes and influencers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for sports. Preference for football category.
  • Consumer first thinking
  • High level of project management, budget management and scheduling
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with a strategic and logical approach in execution
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro skills are plus
  • English: Fluent written/ spoken

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing/Advertising or related course
  • Business background will be an advantage
  • Min 5 years’ experience with a mix of brand, consumer and trade marketing
  • Experience and/ or exposure in Sports
  • Digital Marketing and FMCG experience a plus
