Manager - Building Information Modeling

To ensure accurate verification of work completed across multiple contractors and work packages for the Novacare Hospital project in Islamabad. The role involves validating contractor submissions for payment against contract milestones, ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining compliance with the project’s financial and quality standards.

1. BIM Strategy and Implementation

• Develop and implement the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

• Establish BIM standards, workflows, naming conventions, and modelling protocols.

• Ensure compliance with project BIM requirements and industry best practices.

• Lead BIM implementation across design, construction, and commissioning stages.

1. Model Coordination

• Coordinate Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, and Infrastructure models.

• Conduct multidisciplinary model reviews and resolve coordination issues.

• Monitor model quality, accuracy, and completeness.

• Ensure timely incorporation of approved design revisions.

1. Clash Detection and Resolution

• Perform clash detection using Navisworks or equivalent software.

• Issue clash reports and coordinate timely resolution with consultants and contractors.

• Monitor closure of identified clashes before construction activities commence.

• Maintain clash detection records and coordination logs.

1. Digital Construction Management

• Support project planning through 4D construction sequencing.

• Assist Quantity Surveying teams with model-based quantity take-offs (5D).

• Promote digital workflows for construction monitoring and project reporting.

• Ensure BIM data supports facility management and project handover requirements.

1. Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise BIM Engineers, Coordinators, and Modelers.

• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.

• Conduct BIM training sessions for internal teams and project stakeholders.

• Promote continuous improvement in BIM processes and technologies.

1. Contractor and Consultant Coordination

• Review BIM deliverables submitted by consultants and contractors.

• Ensure all BIM submissions comply with project requirements and approved standards.

• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations.

• Facilitate collaboration among project disciplines using BIM platforms.

1. Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare periodic BIM progress reports for senior management.

• Maintain model revision records, coordination reports, and BIM documentation.

• Monitor BIM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project compliance.

• Ensure proper documentation of digital project records throughout the project lifecycle.

1. Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, company procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Identify BIM-related risks affecting project delivery and recommend mitigation measures.

• Ensure proper information management and data security for all BIM deliverables.

• Support project audits related to digital engineering and BIM implementation.

1. Other:

Any other task assigned by the Management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Certification in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM Management, or related software will be an added advantage
• Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is preferred. .

Experience:

• 10–12 years of relevant experience in BIM implementation and coordination.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing BIM on hospital, healthcare, or other complex building projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination involving Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Infrastructure works.
• Proven experience managing BIM execution throughout design, construction, and project close-out phases.
