Role Purpose

We are looking for a business-oriented Enterprise Architect to lead technology strategy and architecture workstreams across complex digital transformation engagements.The Enterprise Architect will work with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate enterprise strategy, business capabilities, value streams and future-state processes into integrated application, data, integration, infrastructure and security architectures. The role will typically operate during Phase 0, discovery, assessment and transformation-planning engagements, helping customers establish the case for change, evaluate strategic platform options and define an actionable transformation roadmap.The successful candidate will combine architecture depth with strong consulting, facilitation and commercial skills. The role requires the ability to move from current-state diagnosis to target architecture, prioritized initiatives, business-case inputs and implementation mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise architecture and technology strategy workstreams across digital and business transformation engagements.
• Establish pragmatic architecture methods, principles, standards, viewpoints and decision criteria.
• Assess current business capabilities, processes, applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, cloud services, security controls and technology risks.
• Develop business capability maps, value-stream architectures and traceability between business requirements, processes, applications and data.
• Define integrated target architectures covering business, application, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud and cybersecurity domains.
• Translate future-state processes and operating-model requirements into technology capabilities, solution options and architecture decisions.
• Lead digital-core, ERP, CRM, supply chain, manufacturing, asset-management, data-platform and enterprise-application strategy assessments.
• Evaluate strategic platforms and vendors based on business fit, architecture fit, scalability, integration, data, security, cost, implementation risk and organizational readiness.
• Conduct application technical-health, strategic-fit and portfolio-rationalization assessments using frameworks such as TIME or equivalent.
• Convert architecture gaps and recommendations into prioritized transformation initiatives and implementation work packages.
• Develop high-level project charters covering scope, outcomes, capabilities, architecture, dependencies, risks, effort and success measures.
• Create phased technology roadmaps aligned with business value, process transformation, data foundations, change readiness and investment capacity.
• Provide technology cost, benefit, dependency and risk inputs to business cases and value-realization plans.
• Define enterprise architecture, application, integration and data-governance models, including decision rights and architecture-assurance processes.
• Facilitate workshops and present architecture options, trade-offs and recommendations to executive and senior-management stakeholders.
• Provide technical direction and quality assurance to domain architects, solution architects, business analysts and platform specialists.
• Support proposals, solution shaping, estimation, presales and development of architecture methods and reusable consulting assets.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8+ or more years of experience across enterprise architecture, technology strategy, solution architecture or digital transformation.
• Proven experience leading Phase 0, discovery, assessment, technology strategy, roadmap or pre-implementation advisory engagements.
• Strong understanding of business capabilities, value streams, end-to-end processes and Target Operating Model design.
• Experience developing current-state, target-state and transition architectures.
• Ability to integrate business, application, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud and security perspectives.
• Experience with ERP, digital-core or enterprise-platform strategy involving solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion or comparable platforms.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing complex application portfolios.
• Experience defining strategic initiatives, project charters, transition architectures and multi-year transformation roadmaps.
• Understanding of API, integration-platform, event-driven, data-platform, analytics, master-data and cloud-architecture concepts.
• Experience in one or more complex domains, such as process manufacturing, industrial products, chemicals, energy, utilities, life sciences, consumer products, logistics or asset-intensive industries.
• Strong executive communication, consulting, workshop-facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to explain complex architecture decisions as clear business choices, implications and recommendations.
• Commercial awareness and experience supporting proposals, estimates, business cases or vendor evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in business, strategy, technology or management is advantageous.
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, cloud, data, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle or comparable architecture certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, Bizzdesign, Orbus, MEGA or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Experience with process-manufacturing concepts such as batch genealogy, quality management, asset traceability and supply-chain planning is advantageous.
• Experience working across multiple countries, business units or acquisition-led technology landscapes is preferred.
