Manager, Business Development (New Experiences)
Description
About the Role
We're growing the supply side of Klook's New Experiences business — an early-stage category with real momentum. This role owns supply expansion across our priority destinations: recruiting merchants, negotiating strong commercial terms, and building out the depth and breadth of itineraries on offer.
What You'll Do:
1. Supply Expansion & Commercial Negotiation
Expand supply coverage and depth across our priority destinations, with a particular focus on strengthening categories and itinerary types where our current offering is thinner than traveler demand.
Negotiate strong commercial terms (rates, commission, exclusivity, promotional support) with local operators and destination specialists across our New Experiences offering.
Build and own merchant relationships with global, multi-language supply partners, from first outreach through signed agreement and onboarding handoff.
2. Market & Category Leadership
Set destination-level sourcing priorities that translate market and catalog insight into concrete supplier targets.
Monitor the competitive landscape and translate market intelligence into sourcing and commercial strategy.
Represent Klook at industry events and with strategic partners, and act as a senior commercial voice for New Experiences supply.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Guide Business Development Associates on merchant onboarding standards, content quality and negotiation playbooks.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align supply coverage with the booking journey and go-to-market plans.
Report on supply health and business reviews to leadership, tracking growth in coverage, merchant count and catalog quality.
What You'll Need:
5+ years of industry experience with proven expertise in business development, ideally in travel, OTA, tours & activities or a related supply-heavy marketplace.
A demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating and closing supplier partnerships at scale, across multiple markets and languages.
Language: English and Mandarin are both required, to negotiate directly with merchants and partners across our international markets.
Strong commercial judgment — comfortable structuring rate and commission deals and defending margin.
Data-driven and structured — able to turn catalog and market insight into a prioritized sourcing plan.
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to travel internationally to build supplier relationships on the ground.
