Job Description

  • Provide forward-looking strategic and operational business management support to the Country CEO and CIB Head of Banking
  • Drive and support core CIB performance routines (e.g., QBRs, sales enablement forums, performance reviews), including insight generation, materials, actions, and follow-through.
  • Coordinate the annual Country Strategic Execution Plan update, aligning inputs with Group/Global/Regional strategy teams and agreed templates.
  • Track delivery of strategic objectives and key initiatives, proactively surfacing risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions/escalations to maintain momentum.
  • Lead peer/market performance analysis translating competitor insights into clear actions and executive-ready messaging.
  • Support CEO/Head of Banking governance rhythms (ExCo/Board calendars and agenda planning) in partnership with Company Secretariat, ensuring disciplined governance and decision-making.
  • Deliver CEO scorecard reporting (monthly CEO updates/letters and periodic progress updates), ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes.
  • Enable cross-line-of-business collaboration (including corridors activity and awards submissions) and drive change management/continuous improvement across the market.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business management, strategy, COO/Chief of Staff, or Executive Office roles within banking/financial services.
  • Strong capability producing executive-ready materials (packs, presentations, and proposal papers), synthesising complex insights into clear recommendations for decision-making.
  • Strong analytical capability (performance reporting and peer/competitor analysis) with structured problem-solving and sound judgement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate strategy into concise, audience-appropriate messaging for leaders and wider colleague populations.
  • Ability to operate effectively under ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver at pace with a risk-based, outcomes-focused mindset.
  • Proven programme/project coordination skills (milestones, dependencies, benefits tracking) and a continuous improvement/change mindset.
  • High integrity and discretion, comfortable supporting senior leadership engagement with regulators and external stakeholders as required.
