About the opportunity:
Ecobank Rwanda is seeking a Manager, Card Products to lead the growth, development, and management of the Bank’s card products portfolio.
The role is responsible for effectively packaging and delivering approved Consumer and Commercial Banking products to meet customer needs and satisfaction, in line with Group policies and applicable local regulatory requirements. The role is also responsible for the delivery and performance of approved Consumer and Commercial Banking products through opportunity identification, shelf placement, distribution, and pricing, with the objective of driving optimum sales and business growth. In addition, the role maintains productive relationships with sales teams and external customers to support effective product delivery and maximize customer value.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Management
- Identify opportunities and drive Card sales aggressively in Bank Target Market areas within the Country.
- Execute Card marketing strategies provided by the Group for increasing customer sign-up and utilization of the bank’s products.
- Aggressive enrolment of Customers on all Cards products (both at the bank and Customer’s premises).
- Ensure the positioning of approved key products as “best in brand”.
- Ensure appropriate product pricing in-country, subject to approval from Group Product Team.
- Deliver on sales targets
- Focus on promotion and management of approved standard domestic products with regard to sales, service and compliance with Group policies and local regulations.
- Understand and provide product knowledge, training and guidance to Sales team.
- Brief key stakeholders on product and promotional launches and provide regular feedback to Group Product Team.
- Conduct Semi-annual Customer Needs Survey and Utilization.
- Provide Consumer and Commercial Banking products competitor analysis.
2. Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent communication to support productive external and internal relationships and the resolution of problematic issues.
- Establish productive relationships with key stakeholders and business influencers in the Country.
- Build a strong network to support the sharing of best practice with the Sales and Marketing teams in order to enhance cross-functional cooperation and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements and ensure effective delivery of services to both internal and external customers.
- Become an active member of the local community in order to build strong ties and ensure brand recognition and relevance in the Country.
3. Risk, Governance & Control
- Provide analysis of monthly statistics for product tracking purposes.
- Work with Cluster Product team to determine and implement corrective actions where necessary to achieve sales goals.
- Ensure compliance to local legal and regulatory requirements, audits and any other credit or governance directives.
- Comply with all the Group’s policies and procedures.
4. Financial Management
- Ensure Affiliate financial targets are achieved for Cards & Electronic Banking Products.
Responsible for cost management of products in line with country budget.
5. Administration
- Provide feedback on performance of service providers in local environment.
- Provide feedback to various supporting sectors e.g. IT, Operations etc.
6. Teaming
- Provide feedback on performance of service providers in local environment.

Who We’re Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience
- University graduate with bachelor’s degree in accounting or project management.
- Professional banking or customer experience will be an added advantage.
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience
- Fluent written & spoken English and Kinyarwanda.
Skills & Capabilities
- 5 years’ experience in Banking Sector preferably in electronics products management
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
