Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Manager - Category / Business Excellence to drive the performance of assigned business categories/functions through effective planning, execution, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving business performance, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple departments.
The role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to convert business insights into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Category Management
- Own and drive the performance of assigned business categories or functions.
- Develop and execute action plans to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
- Monitor category/business performance and recommend corrective actions wherever required.
- Support business growth through data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Track key business KPIs and prepare detailed performance reports.
- Analyse sales, operational, and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and business review presentations for management.
- Generate actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Coordinate project timelines and ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders to track pending actions and resolve execution bottlenecks.
Process Excellence
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal business processes.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support implementation of automation, digitization, and process optimization initiatives wherever applicable.
Project Management
- Drive assigned business projects from planning through execution.
- Monitor project progress against defined milestones and timelines.
- Prepare project status reports and highlight risks with appropriate mitigation plans.
Strategic Support
- Conduct business research and market analysis to support strategic planning.
- Assist leadership in evaluating new business opportunities and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in special projects aligned with organizational growth objectives.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookup Functions, Dashboards, Data Analysis).
- Experience in MIS reporting and business performance analysis.
- Good understanding of business metrics and KPI management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- MBA (Preferred)
- CA Inter (Preferred)
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:

Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates from FMCG, Pharma, Healthcare, Retail, E-commerce, Distribution, Consumer Goods, or similar fast-paced industries will be preferred.
