Job Summary
A Logistics & Trading Manager oversees the end-to-end supply chain and commercial activities, driving procurement negotiations, import/export compliance, freight optimization, and profitability in the trading lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and efficient logistics operations
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders to optimize freight costs and service quality
- Oversee warehouse and inventory distribution to maintain accurate stock levels and smooth supply chain flow
- Source suppliers and negotiate competitive procurement contracts to secure cost-effective purchasing
- Ensure all shipping and trading documentation complies with international trade laws and local customs regulations to avoid delays and penalties
- Monitor market trends to identify hedging or arbitrage opportunities that enhance profitability
- Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for supply chain and trading desks to drive financial performance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience of 3–5 years in international trade, commodity trading, or supply chain management
- Proficiency with ERP/SAP systems and advanced data analysis using MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and letters of credit
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cross-cultural communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field
