Manager- Client Accounting

Purpose of the Job

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Services and Senior Manager, Client Accounting, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients and supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services. You will help lead and develop a collaborative team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth, efficiency and success of the business. Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of accounting, payroll, tax compliance, statutory reporting and related client services.
  • Review financial statements, management accounts, tax filings and GST submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and reporting standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for accounting, tax and operational matters.
  • Lead the coordination of year-end audits, liaising with auditors, tax authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of client deliverables.
  • Support business development initiatives by assisting with proposals, onboarding new clients and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team workloads, resources and performance to ensure deadlines, service standards and financial targets are consistently achieved.
  • Provide technical guidance on Singapore accounting standards, tax, payroll and regulatory requirements to both clients and team members.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, leveraging technology and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • Support risk management activities, including KYC compliance, governance requirements and adherence to Ocorian policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects that support the growth and success of the Client Accounting function.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities that support the needs of the business and clients.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or a professional qualification such as ACCA, with Chartered Accountant status preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience within Accounting, Outsourcing, Client Accounting, Audit or Professional Services, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), CPF, Corporate Income Tax, GST and related regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios, reviewing complex accounting deliverables and providing technical guidance to teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Navision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients, regulators and internal teams.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence and client service.
