Position Summary

The Manager Cloud & Automation is responsible for cloud platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, platform engineering, vulnerability management, performance optimization, AIOps initiatives, and continuous infrastructure modernization. The role drives operational efficiencies through automation and intelligent platform management.

Reporting To: Stream Head IT Infrastructure
Direct Team Size: 4 Resources

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Management

• Manage private cloud platforms including VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Hyper-V.
• Govern cloud standards, architecture, and operational frameworks.
• Maintain platform lifecycle management.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and platform management processes.
• Reduce manual operational workload through automation initiatives.

Performance Engineering

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance.
• Conduct capacity analysis and performance tuning.
• Ensure efficient utilization of compute and storage resources.

Vulnerability & Patch Management

• Own infrastructure patch management program.
• Ensure compliance with vulnerability remediation timelines.
• Coordinate security hardening activities across all infrastructure platforms.

AIOps & Self-Healing Infrastructure

• Develop AIOps capabilities.
• Implement predictive monitoring and anomaly detection.
• Deploy self-healing and automated remediation workflows.

CI/CD & Platform Engineering

• Support DevOps and platform engineering initiatives.
• Enable automated platform deployment and upgrades.
• Maintain cloud-native operational practices.

Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate emerging technologies.
• Drive modernization initiatives.
• Establish automation and operational excellence roadmaps.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in cloud, virtualization, containerization, and automation platforms.

• RHCA / RHCE
• VMware VCP
• Azure Administrator/Architect
• Terraform Associate
• Ansible Automation
