COMPANY OVERVIEW

Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and we are a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners. But we know food alone won’t solve hunger – that’s why we’re redefining that it means to feed our region. By creating pathways to possibilities for nearly 1 million people, Feeding Tampa Bay connects and convenes solutions, partners and resources that nourish long-term stability. As a member of the Feeding America Network, we will work to dismantle barriers for individuals, families, and seniors across our area – because it’s possible.

At Feeding Tampa Bay, we are on a united path to transform our community. We thoughtfully drive change while embracing and celebrating our collective impact, as well as the impact of each individual. Through our Grow Code we strive to honor all, conquer together, be imaginists, speak with truth, and stay rooted in the mission of Feeding Tampa Bay.

SUMMARY

This is a multi--purpose role designed to maximize organizational impact through strategic revenue growth and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for transforming our approach to Third-Party Fundraising and Food Drive Management, moving from reactive coordination to proactive, data-driven strategy. By refining standard operating procedures, cultivating corporate and peer-to-peer relationships, and integrating social enterprise principles, you will ensure that every community interaction—whether a virtual food drive or a local fundraiser—is optimized for both financial sustainability and long-term donor stewardship.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Third-Party Fundraising & Peer-to-Peer Revenue Growth:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for both inbound and outbound third-party revenue streams. This includes:
  • Optimization: Refining SOPs and toolkits to enhance donor stewardship and streamline the use of platforms like GoFundMe.
  • Market Intelligence: Benchmarking against peer non-profits to adopt best practices in donor engagement..
  • Acquisition: Implementing a balanced approach to capture organic inbound interest while actively pursuing new outbound partnership opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence in Food Drive Management:
  • Transform community food drives into high-impact, efficient engagement tools by focusing on resource optimization and financial integration:
  • Process Improvement: Oversight of bulk pick-up logistics, including the implementation of mandatory weighing and reporting protocols to ensure data accuracy.
  • Financial Integration: Driving the "Virtual Food Drive" model to ensure a specified percentage of all drives include a financial contribution component.
  • Targeted Outreach: Analyzing historical data to identify and recruit "high-target" food drives that yield the highest engagement and volume.
  • Membership & Affinity Group Management:
  • Build, cultivate, and sustain a network of donor membership and affinity groups (e.g., women’s giving circles, young professionals, etc,) to deepen community connection to FTB.
  • Program Strategy: Designing and executing tailored stewardship paths, exclusive communications, and networking events that drive recruitment and increase annual retention.
  • Leadership Cultivation: Identifying and empowering volunteer leadership/committees within the groups to amplify outreach and champion the organization’s mission.
  • Event & Initiative Oversight: Serve as the primary advisor and project manager for all fundraising events, campaigns, and peer-to-peer initiatives conceptualized and driven by affinity groups, ensuring they meet revenue targets and align with organizational branding.
  • Departmental Leadership:
  • Driving Revenue: Generate consistent and significant financial support for Feeding Tampa Bay's operations and programs.
  • Measuring and Reporting Impact: This role will need to track the success of all opportunities, demonstrating the return on investment for partners and the impact on Feeding Tampa Bay's vision and mission.
  • Strategic Planning and Budgeting: This role will be a strategic partner outside of the organization but requires internal strategic leadership. An ideal candidate would be thinking about the long-term growth of the community giving programs, not just the current year's initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: The role is placed in the Development department, which requires collaboration with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Finance, External Affairs, and other teams) to ensure a cohesive and effective external affairs strategy.
