MANAGER, CORPORATE/GENERAL INSURANCE
Job Summary
This role drives company growth by managing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, underwriting insurance risks within guidelines, and leading credit control and debt recovery efforts. It also supports operations, business improvement, and staff development through supervision and coaching.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop potential business areas through proactive client management to expand company growth
- Maintain professional relationships with existing and potential customers by providing technical advice on their insurance needs
- Review, accept, and underwrite insurance business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
- Manage and implement credit control procedures and lead bad debt recovery efforts to maintain the company’s financial health
- Supervise, mentor, and coach staff to support their development and enhance operational effectiveness
- Participate in operations and business improvement initiatives to support organizational goals
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to contribute to overall company success
Required competencies and certifications
- Relevant qualifications in general insurance (minimum CGI & HI) essential for underwriting and risk assessment duties

- Tertiary education to support professional knowledge and decision-making
