Main responsibilities:
The Manager, Category Development position works on a team that serves as an internal business consultant building Albertsons’ customer focused strategy.
- Mine multiple sources of internal and external data to derive meaningful insights (internal databases, Circana, Numerator, and Customer Data)
- Review data, identify critical information, and analyze it to develop hypotheses and recommendations for the immediate team and key stakeholders
- Combine analytical expertise and research to deliver insights that support business decisions and day-to-day priorities
- Organize and manage timelines, workflows, and task allocation across projects, coordinating inputs from multiple contributors to keep work on track
- Build a working understanding of the business to develop and maintain accurate, meaningful dashboards & insights
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Preferred education is a Bachelors’ degree
- Preferred experience is 5+ years in category management, data analysis, customer insights or related experience
- Love for project management
- Experience in Retail Grocery Category Management
- Experience synthesizing information from large data sets from multiple sources (internal/vendor/syndicated industry)
- Expert knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%
