Manager, Corporate Partnerships
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Corporate Partnerships for NFL Canada, the Manager, Corporate Partnerships is accountable to support and enable each of our corporate sponsors’ activations in a given season.
Towards our goal of being our sponsors most strategic partner in Canada, this role requires superior relationship management capabilities for both external and internal stakeholders, combined with a solid strategic foundation and functional understanding, of all elements of the marketing mix. Candidate will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Canadian sponsorship industry and strategic planning process.
This is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract position (40 hours per week), with the possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable, in collaboration with our partners, for the successful development, approval, activation and where appropriate, analysis, of each of our NFL Canada partner activations on and off season.
- Through a deep understanding of each of our partner contracts, will ensure that their programs can and will be approved internally, consistent with their contractual rights.
- Work with partners to develop NFL centric content that meets partner and league objectives
- Work with player relations to identify and recommend players for partner executions (content, virtual, in-person)
- Work with partners on measures of success and track throughout the season
- Develop digital media campaigns for league partners to maximize partner investments
- Work with our corporate partners, at a strategic business level, to identify key challenges and opportunities that the NFL can support on, to meet their business needs. This will be done in collaboration with other functional teams (marketing, fan centric marketing, consumer products, etc.)
- Accountable for identifying incremental revenue opportunities across each partner, and working to provide them with new ideas, that will deliver net new revenue to NFL Canada. content, assets, media.
- Work with legal and other relevant NFL stakeholders to develop and manage contracts for new partners
- Work with NFL Canada marketing team to identify opportunities to collaborate with partners on initiatives that support business objectives in the market
- Identify and lead, required research projects, to help deliver short and long term goals.
- Accountable for evaluating our annual performance with our partners, using an agreed upon methodology and metrics.
- Responsible for managing digital inventory across all NFL Canada corporate partners, including trafficking ads with our digital agency
- Responsible for providing monthly reporting and analysis of our NFL owned and operated media executions
- Responsible for leading our NFL Canada events including NFL Road Trips, annual Corporate Partner Summit and Partner Gifting program
- Responsible for supporting our event calendar initiatives tied to our tentpole events: Kickoff, Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and Draft
Required Education and Experience:
- University or equivalent college diploma – marketing or business administration degree an asset
- Experience with Account Management an asset
- Experience working in sponsorship, either on client, agency or property side
- Working with a sports property and or sports betting operator an asset
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively expanding experience in sponsorship/partnership activation or client account management in the marketing function is preferred

- Self-starter with the ability to network within NFL International and Domestic offices to conduct day to day business
Travel:
- Position requires some flexibility of travel during the NFL season (approximately 10% of the year). Valid Passport for international travel required.

- NFL Canada offers a hybrid work schedule consisting of a four day in office presence (Toronto) with one day work from home
