Manager, Credit Risk Data Science (Feature Engineering)

Build and maintain credit-risk models and scorecards for TNG eWallet, using Python/SQL/R and BI tools to assess default risk and guide lending policies at scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and enhance the Credit Reporting & Monitoring framework which meets the requirements of various external & internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate portfolio governance in establishing risk and resiliency levels including the design and development of a set of quantitative metrics with guardrails under which the credit policy and business strategies operate.
  • Assist the Head of Credit Risk in enhancement and review of Credit Policies & Standards in order to ensure that these reflect the best practice and regulate the risk assets of the group.
  • Provide requirements and design inputs, particularly with regard to credit risk recognition, measurement and its reporting as part of the core team for implementation of key credit risk related projects (e.g. Loan Origination System, Loan Management System, Credit Scoring System).
  • Develop, implement and maintain business/ credit policies and systems.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quantitative models / scorecards and systems to assess the default likelihood, repayment behavioural, affordability, recovery expectations and volatility for different segments of the retail portfolio.

Role Requirements:

  • Good university degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering etc) with a clear ability for handling data and performing quantitative analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python (or similar)
  • At least 3-7 years of relevant experience in a credit risk management in consumer portfolios.
  • Experience with BI software and database management such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Cloud BI tools will be essential.
