Manager - Data and Analytics Delivery

• $172,000 - 180,000 + super - 3 direct, 14 indirect reports

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Data & Analytics Delivery to lead a multidisciplinary data team within a Victorian Government organisation.

You will lead a team comprising 3 direct reports and 14 indirect reports, working closely with senior executives and key stakeholders to drive data innovation and continuous improvement.

Three Key Streams
1. Data Analytics

• Lead the delivery of data analytics, reporting and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Improve data quality, accessibility and self-service reporting capabilities.

2. Data Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement data strategies, delivery roadmaps and ways of working.
• Align data initiatives with organisational objectives and business priorities.

3. Data Lake Development & Management

• Oversee the design, development, maintenance and ongoing population of the organisation's data lake.
• Ensure effective data integration, governance, quality and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, developers and specialists, with 3 direct and 14 indirect reports.
• Oversee the delivery of data analytics, reporting solutions and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive data strategy, planning, delivery roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage the development, maintenance and population of the data lake, ensuring reliable and accessible data.
• Manage project delivery, budgets, risks, governance and stakeholder relationships to achieve business outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive leadership experience managing multidisciplinary data and analytics teams in complex organisations.
• Strong experience delivering data analytics, reporting, data management and business intelligence solutions.
• Demonstrated experience developing data strategies, roadmaps and operating models.
• Sound technical understanding of data lakes, data engineering, integration, data quality and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and delivery management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
