Manager, Demand Planning Data Analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Preparation: Pull planning data (e.g., demand forecasts, supply constraints, production schedules) from Oracle and other ERP/APS systems; clean and validate datasets
• Analytics & Reporting: Analyze planning performance, identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities; produce dashboards, reports, and KPI trackers for leadership
• System Optimization: Work with IT and planning teams to refine Oracle configurations, improve data quality, and enhance system usability
• Forecast & Scenario Analysis: Support demand planning by running “what-if” scenarios, evaluating supply chain alternatives, and recommending optimization strategies
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with operations, procurement, and sales teams to align planning data with business needs and decision-making processes
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements in planning workflows and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Data Hygiene: review BOM, BOR, cycle time, capacity and related data, for data quality and drive updates to ensure accurate planning system outputs

Qualification & Requirements

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Oracle APS and related ERP systems
  • SQL, Excel, and Python/R for data manipulation and modeling
  • BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for dashboard creation
• Analytical Skills:
  • Strong statistical and analytical thinking for planning data
  • Ability to interpret complex planning scenarios and translate into business recommendations
• Business Knowledge:
  • Understanding of supply chain, production, and demand planning processes
  • Familiarity with APS concepts (e.g., capacity planning, constraint management)
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with advanced planning systems (BlueYonder, SAP, Oracle)
• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Certification in data analytics or supply chain management
