Manager, Engineering - Program and Engineering - Bombardier Experimental

What are your contributions to the team?

• Responsible for the achievement of the Bombardier Experimental Mechanical & Electrical design discipline mandate and deliverables.
• Lead and manage the design organization by ensuring their development, engagement, and collaboration.
• Lead and manage the Program office for the department by maintaining project tracking, lead program governance and ensure effective communication and collaboration across function and with internal clients in support of the various Bombardier Experimental Projects.
• Lead Health and Safety risk management prevention initiatives to ensure ultimate safety in all ground test rig and flight test outfitting designs.
• Drive Continuous Improvement & first-time right mindset for the Experimental Design and program office disciplines.
• Develop and conduct activities in accordance with company policies, priorities, and budget constraints.
• Manage and develops budgets for the Experimental Design and Program office disciplines.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of applicable experience.
• You have management and leadership experience, including executing performance appraisals, managing staffing allocation, process leadership and career development.
• You have strong knowledge and experience of aerospace experimental mechanical and electrical design for ground testing.
• You have proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
• You demonstrated history of recruiting, retaining, and promoting world class talent; develops staff members to optimize their potential and their performance.
• You are comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
• You are Self-confident with exceptional influencing, oral presentation, and leadership skills.
• You are eligible for registration in the Canadian Controlled Goods Directive (CGD) Program.
• You are a member of Quebec’s Order of Engineer.
• You are fully bilingual (French and English).
