This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.

Summary of the Manager, Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager to lead our product development team in India. We are looking for a leader with a strong technical and architectural background who can actively contribute to technical design and architecture decisions while guiding the team toward building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including .NET Developers, Database Developers, QA, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Microsoft technologies, AWS, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and web.

Responsibilities for the Manager, Engineering

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of full stack developers in Agile/Scrum environment

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements

  • Contribute to technology roadmap and modernization initiatives

  • Drive the software development process from planning, design, and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance

  • Promote the use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve code quality, accelerate development, and enhance team productivity

  • Encourage continuous evaluation and adoption of emerging AI technologies to optimize workflows and reduce manual effort.

  • Ensure that the team follows best practices, coding standards, and quality

  • guidelines to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders

  • Work closely with the US-based teams to align development efforts with the overall company strategy and vision

  • Perform people management duties, and provide mentorship that encourages the culture of continuous learning

Qualifications of the Manager, Engineering

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with extensive expertise in Microsoft technologies, 5+ years leading engineering teams.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large development teams (15+ members) in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Experience in AWS Cloud Services

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and ability to integrate them into team workflows


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Manager, Engineering

  • Sound knowledge of database management systems, with hands-on experience in SQL Server

  • Deep understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and tools

  • Familiarity with additional infrastructure and services such as New Relic, SSRS, and Microservices Architecture

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones to achieve project goals and meet deadlines

  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision

  • Expertise in scalable architecture, API design, and integration patterns
