ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a commercially minded Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to play a pivotal role in shaping performance and supporting the future growth of the Argo Group.

This is more than a reporting and forecasting role. You’ll partner with operational, commercial and executive leaders to turn complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights that influence business performance, investment decisions and long-term value creation.

You’ll take ownership of the Group’s central financial and valuation models, driving their continuous improvement and ensuring they provide a solid foundation for budgeting & forecasting, strategic planning, transactions and investment decisions.

With a strong focus on financial modelling, scenario analysis and commercial insight, you’ll help turn strategy into numbers and numbers into better decisions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or related discipline.
  • CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification highly regarded. Strong financial modelling, valuation, forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in resources, energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive industries highly regarded.
  • Commercially minded with strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Experienced in budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning.
  • Confident developing complex financial and operational models.
  • Strong ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experienced in scenario analysis, business cases and investment evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis capability.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in systems, automation and data-driven decision-making.
