OrthoCarolina is seeking an HR Programs and Engagement Manager to join our Human Resources team.
The HR Programs and Engagement Manager is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee engagement, recognition, learning engagement, and culture-building programs that enhance the employee experience and support organizational goals. This role serves as a strategic partner to leaders across the organization, applying expertise in program management, learning science, and workforce analytics to design and deliver initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthen culture.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the strategy, development, and execution of employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Manage the organization's Employee Council program, including member selection, meeting facilitation, communications, and action planning.
- Oversee and expand the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing guidance, governance, and support to maximize participation and impact.
- Partner with OC leaders to embed organizational values and cultural priorities into HR programs, policies, and employee experiences.
- Manage Company-wide employee recognition programs. (Quarterly Spotlights, All-Star program, Team Appreciation Gift Management, etc.)
- Oversee Retirement Recognition, Years of Services, and Milestone Celebration programs.
- Manage the employee's Referral Bonus Program.
- Manage the Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, including communications, policy and participation tracking
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on participation and workforce data.
- Partner with Corporate Training Manager and internal leaders to support learning technology strategies, content management, reporting, and process optimization.
Program & External Vendor Management
- Oversee the Company Brand Store (OC Gear Store), including vendor management, inventory planning, promotional campaigns, and budget oversight.
- Oversee the Reward and Recognition Platform, including vendor management, inventory planning, and budget oversight of point system.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external vendors, negotiating services, and ensuring program and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure programs comply with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze engagement workforce and program data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and support decision-making. This includes onboarding and exit interview data.
- Develop reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor program outcomes.
Leadership & Influence
- Build strong partnerships with leaders across the organization to advance engagement and culture initiatives.
- Partner with the User Experience leadership to identify opportunities to enhance employee experience through innovative programs and initiatives.
- Present program strategies, outcomes, and recommendations to HR and Senior leadership team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee engagement, recognition, and workforce experience best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in employee engagement, learning and development, HR program management, or related HR disciplines.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide engagement and HR program initiatives.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to improve organizational culture and employee experience.
- Experience in change management methodologies, employee listening strategies, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and program performance metrics.
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with engagement survey platforms (e.g., WorkDay Peakon, Glint, Qualtrics, Press Ganey), employee recognition systems (i.e. People Are Everything), and workforce analytical tools (i.e. Worksite Institute) and HRIS platforms such as Workday.
- Strong knowledge of employee engagement, recognition, culture, and learning science principles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple programs and priorities.
