As an MIT you will be responsible for all sales, operation, and customer service in one of our growing Kane’s Furniture, LLC Stores.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Assumes responsibility for the planning, development, and implementation of effective Company sales, design and marketing programs.
Assists General Manager and Sales Manager with long and short run strategic planning.

Assists with strategic planning for the store. Ensures that plans complement and support established Kane’s company-wide goals.

Implements Kane’s sales promotions, operational plans, policies, and goals which further strategic objectives.

Forecasts both long- and short-term profit and volume growth, sales by unit, expenses, and capital expenditures.

Implements programs to meet merchandising, new account, and productivity goals.

Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of sales and design functions.
Leads from the sales floor ensuring every guest is being serviced at the highest-level including working directly with guest and on-the-flying coaching for sales associates.

Leads role playing training sessions to ensure our sales team is properly trained with our best practices.

Conducts morning meetings to celebrate performance, relay company initiatives and practice our sales behaviors.

Helps our sales associates with Key Performance Indicators including bedding, warranty and finance by turning over a guest and helping the guest understand the benefits in order to make a better decision.

Conducts formal reviews of sales and marketing activities.

Corrects variances in performance.

Prepares sales goals for Sales Representatives and Design teams.

Coordinates client billing and ensures it is accurate and timely.

Ensures that accounts are serviced and merchandised in accordance with Kane’s standards.

Maintains the integrity of all pricing and marketing programs.

Keeps informed regarding the area’s competitive position and competitors’ actions.

Ensures sales results meet or exceed established objectives.

Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of Sales functions.
Keeps General Manager and Sales Manager informed of activities and progress toward established objectives.

Coordinates with management and with other sales areas to ensure consistency in promotional activities.

Establishes effective reporting and communication with Sales Associates to ensure they are appropriately informed of Kane’s expectations, polices, and programs.

Completes required sales reports, call reports, and related documents promptly and accurately.

Ensures the accuracy of all reports and accounting records.

Ensures that all Sales Representatives have necessary equipment, supplies, and merchandising materials.

Conducts, reviews, and reconciles product inventory.

Effectively supervises Sales personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
Provides leadership to Sales personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.

Ensures that personnel are well-trained, effective, and optimally used.

Provides feedback to Representatives on sales techniques. Provides training as necessary.

Conducts performance appraisals as required. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed.

Fills vacant positions as promptly as possible.

Develops incentive programs for area personnel.

Actively seeks to develop the sales team and maintain a high level of morale.

Ensures adequate staffing levels for each campaign, promotion, etc.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with customers, vendors, and trade professionals.
Maintains professional relations with customers.

Responds to customer requests and resolves problems promptly.

Ensures that customers are informed of Company policies and promotions.

Ensures that the Kane’s quality reputation is maintained.
