This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an infrastructure professional who enjoys leading teams, solving complex production issues, and maintaining secure, highly available environments.
Location: Sandy, UT | 100% Onsite
Salary: $150,000–$180,000/year DOE
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with participation in an on-call rotation
Travel: Occasional travel to customer or remote sites
About the Role
The Manager, Infrastructure & Security Operations will lead a team responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of critical server, storage, endpoint, and customer-facing infrastructure.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong infrastructure operations experience along with the ability to lead incident response, drive root-cause analysis, improve operational processes, and develop a high-performing technical team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day infrastructure and security operations across production and customer-facing environments
Oversee physical and virtual servers, storage, backup/recovery, endpoints, and customer-site hardware
Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, security, and adherence to established service levels
Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging across infrastructure
Establish performance baselines, monitor capacity, and proactively address recurring issues
Lead infrastructure incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
Ensure technical issues are thoroughly investigated, documented, and appropriately escalated
Manage hardware lifecycle, infrastructure upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning
Oversee firewall administration, access control, VPN, endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
Support security incidents, audits, penetration testing, and regulatory examinations
Maintain and test disaster recovery and backup/recovery procedures
Maintain accurate infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, operational procedures, and configuration records
Partner closely with Software Engineering, Client Support, and Network & Systems Operations
Work directly with customers and third-party IT providers to troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues
Manage infrastructure vendors and ensure service-level commitments are met
Lead, coach, and develop the Infrastructure & Security Operations team
Participate in hiring, training, cross-training, and performance management
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems operations
2+ years of direct people management experience
Experience supporting production infrastructure for external customers under service-level commitments
Strong knowledge of servers, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and endpoint infrastructure
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and VPN technologies
Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance management
Strong incident management and root-cause analysis experience
Experience with security operations, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and change management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in credit unions, banking, fintech, or another regulated financial services environment
Familiarity with FFIEC, NCUA, SOC examinations, or similar regulatory/audit frameworks
Experience supporting branch-level endpoints and peripheral hardware
Six Sigma or DMAIC/process improvement experience
Certifications such as Security+, Server+, CCNA, ITIL, VMware, or Microsoft infrastructure certifications
