COMPANY OVERVIEW

Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and we are a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners. But we know food alone won’t solve hunger – that’s why we’re redefining that it means to feed our region. By creating pathways to possibilities for nearly 1 million people, Feeding Tampa Bay connects and convenes solutions, partners and resources that nourish long-term stability. As a member of the Feeding America Network, we will work to dismantle barriers for individuals, families, and seniors across our area – because it’s possible.

At Feeding Tampa Bay, we are on a united path to transform our community. We thoughtfully drive change while embracing and celebrating our collective impact, as well as the impact of each individual. Through our Grow Code we strive to honor all, conquer together, be imaginists, speak with truth, and stay rooted in the mission of Feeding Tampa Bay.

SUMMARY

Help shape the spaces where Feeding Tampa Bay's vision of flourishing communities, today and for generations to come, comes to life. We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Interior & Commercial Design Manager to bring our physical environment to life — designing functional, beautifully branded spaces that create an engaging experience for the staff, volunteers, donors, and community members who walk through our doors every day.

This role will work closely with our Chief Experience Officer to align our facilities with FTB's culture, personality, and brand — then lead the execution: interior design, room flow, visual identity, vendor sourcing, custom signage, and commissioned artwork that brings our brand to life across offices, community hubs, and warehouse spaces. If you want design work that's both creatively rich and mission-driven, this role was built for you!

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Design & Branding

  • Develop cohesive design concepts, mood boards, and space layouts that optimize traffic flow, room functionality, and atmosphere
  • Integrate FTB's brand identity into physical spaces through custom signage, color palettes, and architectural branding elements
  • Partner with Marketing & Communications to ensure environments, graphics, and visual storytelling align with FTB's brand guidelines and campaigns
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage artists to commission custom art pieces, murals, and installations tailored to our spaces

Project & Vendor Management

  • Source, order, and track furniture, fixtures, finishes, and decorative elements while managing vendor relationships
  • Manage contract deliverables, long-lead procurement schedules, and on-site contractor logistics to hit project deadlines
  • Oversee installation, styling, and final punch-list items to ensure design concepts are executed accurately and on schedule

Budget & Compliance

  • Build, track, and manage capital project budgets, including value engineering and negotiating trade discounts within nonprofit fiscal constraints
  • Apply working knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines, life safety regulations, and permitting processes for interior alterations
  • Select durable, easily cleanable, commercial-grade finishes suited to high-traffic spaces with heavy volunteer and warehouse activity

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present design concepts and project updates to executive leadership (C-Suite), the Board of Directors, donor committees, and community advisory groups
