Manager, IT Business Systems

As Manager, IT Business Systems, you will oversee East Penn Canada’s SAP S/4HANA ERP platform and related business applications while leading the business systems team. Acting as the key liaison between business leaders, IT Infrastructure, and external partners, you will ensure that technology solutions support organizational goals, deliver business value, and drive continuous improvement. Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations of the Business Systems team, providing leadership, coaching, direction, and support to ensure team success and continuous development
Oversee SAP S/4HANA and related business applications, ensuring systems remain reliable, effective, and aligned with business requirements
Monitor, prioritize, and report on business systems tickets, while coordinating third-level support and incident resolution activities
Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and communication strategies for business-approved initiatives
Lead cross-functional project teams and oversee the successful delivery of software, process improvement, and system enhancement projects
Perform capacity planning and resource management, balancing internal and external resources to meet delivery, quality, and budget objectives
Evaluate business requests, estimate effort and return on investment, and prioritize initiatives in alignment with organizational goals
Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage expectations throughout project lifecycles
Act as the primary point of contact for key consulting, implementation, and software partners, ensuring services are delivered on time and to specification
Ensure business systems changes and user access comply with the organization’s IT security, change management, and compliance requirements
Collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure and business leaders to support integrated technology solutions and strategic initiatives
Serve as delegate for the Director, Information Technology when required
Promote East Penn Canada’s commitment to Customer Experience Excellence and Occupational Health and Safety in all aspects of the role

Experience, Skills, and Competencies
You will receive support and onboarding into our environment, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:

Post secondary education or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
8+ years of experience in a business, operational, or technical role with meaningful exposure to ERP/SAP-driven processes
Strong knowledge of SAP business processes within one or more core functional areas, including Sales & Distribution, Materials Management/Procurement, Warehouse Management, or Finance
Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, warehouse operations, and finance, and how technology supports these functions
IT project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results
Strong analytical, product management, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage change, influence stakeholders, and balance multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Professional presence, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership capability, with formal people leadership experience considered an asset
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Salesforce, Boomi, Power BI, or SQL considered an asset
Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Project+, PMI-ACP, Scrum) considered an asset
SAP functional or technical certifications considered an asset
Knowledge of privacy standards and practices, including PIPEDA and GDPR, considered an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

Important Considerations:

This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in Courtice, Ontario. Occasional travel may be required

Hiring range is approximately $115,000-130,000. Actual salary will be determined based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data
