JOB PURPOSE
The Manager IT will serve as the site IT Lead for EKA Mobility Pithampur Sector 7 and will be accountable for secure, reliable and
highly available IT services supporting uninterrupted manufacturing and business operations. The role covers plant infrastructure,
IT/OT connectivity, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, end-user computing, security-system connectivity, asset governance, vendor
management and new IT project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plant IT Infrastructure & Operations
Manage day-to-day plant IT infrastructure and support operations, ensuring availability and performance of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, switches,
firewalls, endpoints, printers and related services.
Manage server and network rooms, racks, UPS systems, structured cabling, fiber backbone and environmental readiness.
¢ Monitor infrastructure health, capacity and uptime; proactively identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
2. Network, Cybersecurity & IT/OT
¢ Administer enterprise switching, VLANs, routing, wireless networks, VPN and Fortinet/FortiGate security infrastructure.
¢ Ensure secure network segregation across Corporate IT, Manufacturing/OT, CCTV, Access Control and Guest networks.
¢ Coordinate firewall policies, security hardening, vulnerability remediation, endpoint security, antivirus/EDR and patch compliance.
¢ Support secure connectivity for shop-floor terminals, barcode scanners, manufacturing devices and OT/IoT systems.
3. Manufacturing & Business Application Support
¢ Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores, Logistics, Automation, SAP and Corporate IT teams for plant technology requirements.
¢ Ensure rapid resolution and escalation of production-critical IT incidents and maintain stable connectivity for SAP and manufacturing terminals.
4. Microsoft 365 & End-User IT
¢ Support Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, along with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user administration in coordination with
Corporate IT.
¢ Manage desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, standard software, onboarding, transfers and separation-related IT activities.
¢ Drive IT Service Desk operations with SLA-based incident and request resolution.
5. CCTV, VMS & Access Control Infrastructure
¢ Coordinate the network and IT infrastructure supporting CCTV, VMS and access-control systems.
¢ Ensure availability, security and scalability of surveillance and physical-security network infrastructure in coordination with Security, Admin and
technology partners.
6. IT Projects & Vendor Management
¢ Lead site IT projects from requirement gathering, BOQ and technical review through implementation, commissioning, handover and closure.
¢ Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, service providers and AMC partners; manage FAT/SAT/UAT activities wherever applicable.
¢ Monitor vendor SLAs, technical deliverables, warranty, AMC and escalations; coordinate with Procurement and Commercial teams for purchases
and renewals.
7. IT Governance, Assets & Compliance
¢ Maintain accurate hardware, software, license, warranty and AMC records.
¢ Maintain network diagrams, IP/VLAN matrices, configuration backups and as-built documentation.
¢ Implement Corporate IT policies, SOPs and security standards; support audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
¢ Maintain backup, disaster recovery and IT business-continuity readiness.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required Technical Skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
¢ Enterprise LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, routing and switching
¢ Fortinet/FortiGate firewall, VPN and network security
¢ IT/OT segmentation and manufacturing connectivity
¢ Fiber optic and structured cabling
¢ Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
¢ Endpoint security, patching and asset management
¢ CCTV/VMS/access-control networking
¢ 1218 years of IT infrastructure and operations experience
¢ Preferably 35 years in a manufacturing or automotive plant
¢ Hands-on network, firewall, Wi-Fi, endpoint and cybersecurity experience
¢ Greenfield manufacturing plant implementation experience preferred
¢ Sound understanding of IT/OT integration and shop-floor connectivity
¢ Strong troubleshooting, project management, vendor management and
documentation skills
¢ Effective coordination across Corporate IT and plant functions
¢ Backup, DR, server/network room and UPS infrastructure
¢ ITSM, vendor, OEM, SI and AMC management
