Scope of Responsibility
A. Golf Course & Greens
The Manager will oversee the maintenance and presentation of the resort’s 18-hole golf course, including:
- Maintenance and presentation of all 18 greens, ensuring consistent turf quality, appearance and playing conditions.
- Maintenance of fairways, tees, roughs, bunkers and surrounding golf-course areas.
- Turf management, mowing, irrigation, fertilization and pest/disease control.
- Development and implementation of appropriate turf-management and agronomic programs.
- Planning and allocation of manpower, materials, equipment and other resources.
- Continuous improvement of golf-course presentation and maintenance standards.
- Coordination with Golf Operations to support the overall golfer experience.
B. Golf Course Machinery & Equipment
The Manager will oversee the availability, reliability and maintenance of golf-course machinery and specialized equipment, including:
- Mowers, tractors, utility vehicles and other turf-maintenance machinery.
- Preventive-maintenance schedules and inspection programs.
- Monitoring of equipment condition, reliability, utilization and downtime.
- Planning and coordination of servicing, repairs and replacement requirements.
- Proper maintenance records and equipment documentation.
- Machinery lifecycle management and cost control.
- Ensuring equipment is safe, operational and fit for purpose.
C. Resort Landscape & Horticulture
The Manager will oversee the resort’s landscape and horticultural operations, including:
- Resort entrances, arrival areas, gardens, pathways and public areas.
- Guest-facing landscapes and recreational areas.
- Lawns, trees, shrubs, ornamental plants and seasonal planting.
- Pruning, trimming, planting and general horticultural maintenance.
- Landscape irrigation and water-management practices.
- Landscape improvement and beautification projects.
- Maintaining consistent landscape standards that support the resort’s brand image and guest experience.
- Coordination with Engineering and other departments on landscape-related infrastructure and maintenance requirements.
D. Landscape Innovation, Festivals & Major Events
Beyond routine maintenance, the Manager will contribute to the creative development and enhancement of the resort landscape to support the resort’s seasonal and event calendar.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing creative landscape concepts for festivals, public holidays and seasonal celebrations.
- Designing landscape enhancements for weddings, corporate events, VIP functions and major resort events.
- Introducing themed planting, floral displays, decorative landscape features and seasonal visual elements.
- Creating attractive arrival experiences, event spaces, photo opportunities and signature landscape features.
- Working closely with Operations, Events, Marketing and other relevant departments to align landscape concepts with event themes and resort initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to creatively utilize existing landscape assets to enhance guest engagement.
- Developing reusable and adaptable concepts to maximize value and manage costs.
- Exploring sustainable and cost-effective landscaping solutions.
- Ensuring temporary landscape installations and event enhancements meet safety and operational requirements.
This will enable the landscape function to contribute beyond routine maintenance and support the resort’s guest experience, destination appeal and event proposition.
E. ISO Standards, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
The Manager will support the resort in meeting applicable ISO management-system requirements by ensuring that landscape, golf-course and machinery-maintenance activities are properly planned, documented, monitored and controlled.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate SOPs, maintenance schedules and inspection procedures.
- Maintaining equipment, machinery and maintenance records.
- Implementing preventive-maintenance programs.
- Supporting risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Ensuring appropriate control and documentation of fertilizers, chemicals and other landscape materials.
- Monitoring relevant environmental and operational controls.
- Supporting internal and external ISO audits.
- Addressing audit findings and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitoring departmental KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring employees are appropriately trained and follow established procedures and standards.
