Manager- Legal & Compliance

Job Description :

We are hiring for a fast-growing, venture-backed consumer-focused organization looking to strengthen its Legal & Compliance function. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and build scalable legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, partnership, technology, and marketing contracts.

- Drive corporate secretarial and governance activities, including statutory filings, board processes, and regulatory compliance.

- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, consumer, and data privacy regulations.

- Support fundraising, corporate restructuring, ESOP administration, and investor-related legal matters.

- Manage intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks and related enforcement activities.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance that supports business growth.

Ideal Candidate :

- Qualified Company Secretary (CS) and LLB.

- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal, compliance, and company secretarial functions.

- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, contract law, corporate governance, FEMA, and regulatory compliance.

- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts independently.

- Exposure to intellectual property, employment law, and data privacy matters.

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and drafting skills.

- Prior experience in high-growth, consumer-facing, digital-first, or startup environments.
