Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Manager, Legal & Compliance to join our leadership team in Hyderabad. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary custodian of our legal integrity, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate contracts and ensuring robust adherence to statutory and regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional leadership, external legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and streamline legal operations. By establishing rigorous governance standards and internal controls, you will directly influence the company's operational stability, protect our corporate interests, and enable sustainable business growth in a complex regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end contract management lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to final execution, to ensure all commercial agreements align with organizational risk appetite.
- Oversee comprehensive legal due diligence for corporate transactions and partnerships, providing actionable insights to leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Manage all aspects of regulatory compliance and labour laws, ensuring the organization remains audit-ready and fully compliant with evolving statutory requirements.
- Design and implement internal control frameworks and governance policies to minimize legal exposure and foster a culture of ethical business conduct across all departments.
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits and regulatory filings, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and government agencies to ensure seamless compliance reporting.
- Streamline legal operations by digitizing workflows and optimizing documentation processes, thereby increasing the efficiency of the legal function and reducing turnaround times for business units.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying corporate law and labour regulations within a fast-paced business environment, supported by a degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a premier institution.
- Proven ability to manage complex contract negotiations and legal operations, balancing aggressive business timelines with meticulous risk mitigation strategies.
