Nature of Work:
The Lifecycle Marketing Manager is a key member of the Colorado Avalanche Fan Marketing & Brand Strategy team responsible for developing a deep understanding of Avalanche fans through audience segmentation, fan journey mapping, persona optimization, and data-driven marketing strategies. This role partners closely with Business Intelligence, Ticket Sales, Creative Services, CRM, and Social Media teams to identify audience opportunities, grow the fan database, and deliver targeted marketing programs that increase fan engagement, acquisition, retention, and revenue.
This position serves as the bridge between fan insights and marketing execution, leveraging fan data to create audience segments, build targeted lists, develop data collection programs, and guide creative development that delivers personalized fan experiences throughout the fan lifecycle.
Examples of Work Performed:
Fan Segmentation & Audience Insights
- Develop and maintain fan segmentation strategies to identify key audience groups based on demographics, behaviors, purchase history, engagement patterns, and fan affinity
- Utilize fan personas to help inform marketing campaigns, content strategy, ticket sales initiatives, and fan engagement programs
Fan Acquisition & Database Growth
- Lead the development and maintenance of fan journey campaigns across the fan lifecycle, from prospect to loyal fan and ticket purchaser, identifying opportunities for personalized communication throughout the fan journey
- Work closely with Business Intelligence to leverage fan data and create targeted marketing lists that support advertising, ticket sales, fan engagement, and revenue-generating initiatives
- Develop strategies to grow the Avalanche fan database through digital acquisition campaigns, lead-generation initiatives, and fan engagement programs
- Create and execute enter-to-win, sweepstakes, and lead-generation promotions designed to capture fan data and expand audience reach
- Assist with influencer marketing strategy to drive brand exposure, unique content opportunities, and fan engagement
Reporting & Analytics
- Analyze marketing campaign performance, fan behavior, and engagement data to measure effectiveness and ROI
- Develop post-campaign recaps and strategic recommendations based on audience insights and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making
Creative Asset Development & Brand Stewardship
- Serve as the marketing lead for creative requests, including video, graphic design, digital assets, promotional materials, and fan-facing campaign content
- Review campaign creative and messaging to ensure consistency and brand standards across fan segments and marketing channels
Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with Business Intelligence, Ticket Sales, Creative Services, Social Media, CRM, KSE Media, and Corporate Partnerships to maximize organizational resources and to ensure campaigns align with business goals
Management
- Mentor and develop team members, including Marketing Coordinator, Advertising Specialist, and Intern, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making
- Oversee day-to-day activities of staff, including email deployment, advertising execution, fan acquisition strategies, influencer campaigns, and more
Miscellaneous
- Required to work nights and/or weekends in support of Avalanche games, tentpole events, and marketing initiatives as scheduled

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Qualifications:
- Minimum
- BS/BA degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, mass communication, or a similar field
- 4+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, media, etc.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards
- Preferred
- Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry and/or third-party agency as a marketing manager, coordinator, or account manager
- Experience: managing and/or mentoring direct reports, driving performance through goal setting, feedback, and professional development.

Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000/ year, salary exempt
