The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, visitation, and business performance for Scarborough Town Centre (STC), one of Canada's leading destination shopping centres. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, this role partners closely with property leadership, retailers, agencies, community organizations, and Oxford's centralized marketing teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting the centre's strategic business objectives.

As a key steward of the STC brand, the Marketing Manager brings the centre's brand vision to life through strategic campaigns, events, retailer partnerships, digital content, and community-focused initiatives that reflect the diversity of Scarborough.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan, leveraging market research, consumer insights, and business objectives to drive traffic, engagement, retail sales, and market share.

  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, centre-wide events, seasonal activations, and experiential programs.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, supporting retailer marketing initiatives, store openings, onboarding, promotional opportunities, and partnerships.

  • Foster relationships with local community organizations, cultural groups, and charitable partners to support programming and initiatives that strengthen STC's connection to the Scarborough community.

  • Manage content and communications strategy across digital, social, web, email, public relations, and in-centre channels.

  • Collaborate with Property Management, Operations, Leasing, Specialty Leasing, and National Marketing teams.

  • Manage agency partners, vendors, and external resources.

  • Support public relations activities and crisis communications planning and execution.

  • Manage and track marketing budgets, campaign performance, and reporting metrics.

  • Lead and support direct reports while fostering collaboration and accountability.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in shopping centre marketing, retail marketing, brand marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, projects, budgets, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous shopping centre, retail, destination marketing, or consumer brand experience is strongly preferred.

  • Post secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

  • Strong strategic marketing and business acumen.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with retailers, agencies, community partners, and local stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of digital media, content strategy, social media trends, and customer engagement platforms.

  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting marketing performance metrics.

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.

  • Highly collaborative and adaptable.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Canva, digital marketing platforms, reporting tools, and presentation software.

Desired Skills & Experiences

  • Post secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

  • Passion for retail, fashion, dining, culture, and consumer trends.

  • Ability to identify emerging opportunities that enhance customer engagement and strengthen brand relevance.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

The expected salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
