Manager, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships & Events

Position Summary
The Manager, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships & Events is responsible for driving destination marketing, commercial partnerships, sponsorship development, event activation, and brand positioning initiatives that support revenue growth, visitation, and destination awareness for Resorts World Awana and Midhill.
The role will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, strategic alliances, sponsorship programs, corporate partnerships, festivals, MICE activations, and experiential events that strengthen the property's commercial objectives and destination positioning.
This position acts as a key commercial driver, working cross-functionally with Sales, MICE, Marketing, Operations, Attractions, Leasing, F&B, Golf, and external stakeholders to generate new revenue streams and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing & Destination Promotion
- Develop and execute annual marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive destination awareness and visitor acquisition through integrated marketing campaigns.
- Manage digital, social media, content, PR, influencer, and advertising initiatives.
- Support product launches, attractions, events, festivals, and experiential activations.
- Develop promotional calendars to maximise visitation during peak and off-peak periods.
- Monitor campaign performance, market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
- Oversee creative development, content creation, and brand presentation standards.
- Ensure all marketing activities align with the resort's positioning and sustainability objectives.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that contribute to revenue growth and destination positioning.
- Build relationships with corporate organisations, government agencies, tourism bodies, brands, associations, and media partners.
- Create compelling sponsorship packages and partnership proposals.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, sponsorship rights, commercial benefits, and activation opportunities.
- Develop annual sponsorship revenue pipelines and partnership targets.
- Ensure delivery of sponsorship commitments and measurable ROI for partners.

3. Events & Experience Development
- Plan, develop, and execute events that drive visitation, revenue, and destination exposure.

- Festivals
- Community activations
- Seasonal campaigns
- Experiential tourism products
- Work with operations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Develop event concepts that support commercial objectives and destination positioning.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, suppliers, and stakeholder expectations.
- Evaluate event performance and ROI through post-event reporting.
4. Business Development & Commercial Growth
- Identify new revenue opportunities through events, partnerships, sponsorships, and marketing initiatives.
- Support commercialisation of destination assets and experiences.
- Develop business cases for new products, partnerships, events, and activations.

- Support leasing and monetisation opportunities where applicable.
5. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Act as key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with agencies, media, sponsors, event organisers, tourism partners, and government bodies.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, trade shows, and tourism forums.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement to ensure long-term partnership success.
6. Project Management & Governance
- Lead projects from concept development through implementation and review.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, procurement requirements, and legal obligations.
- Prepare management papers, presentations, and commercial recommendations.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Tourism, Hospitality, Events Management, Communications, or related field.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
